Hotspot

Hotspot Set-up:

Cellular Hotspot, compatible with T-mobile/Mint mobile, sim card not included. This allows users to view cameras remotely. Hotspot is powered from an internal battery inside hotspot and supplemented by the 12 volt battery with USB wire.


Follow this link to activate Service: Activate Mint Mobile Please ensure that you select physical sim.


Review these steps if you need help with the setup process, if not proceed to the suggested settings below. 


  • Remove the back cover and battery to find the Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and password inside the back panel of your mobile hotspot. 

  • Verify the SIM card is inserted and replace the battery and back cover.

  • Hold the Power button for 3 seconds until all LED indicators illuminate.

  • Connect your Wi-Fi device to your Mobile Hotspot.

  • On your computer or other Wi-Fi enabled device, search for available Wi-Fi networks and select network name (SSID).

    • From a Windows PC:

      • Left-select Wireless Network Connection on the taskbar to view available networks.

      • Choose the SSID from the list of available networks.

    • From a Mac computer:

      • Select System Preferences > Network > Airport.

      • Select Advanced to choose SSID from the list of available networks.

      • Choose the SSID from the list of available networks and enter your hotspot password.

    • From an iOS device:

      • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.

      • Choose the SSID from the list of available networks and enter your hotspot password.

    • From an Android device:

      • Go to Settings > Wi‑Fi settings.

      • Choose the SSID from the list of available networks and enter your hotspot password.


Suggested Settings for optimal use: 

  • Login to hotspot: http://mobile.hotspot

    • admin is the default password. After you log in you will need to change it.

  • Go to Settings

  • Then click Wif-Fi

  • Next click Advanced

  • Suggested setting 1: Inactivate Time should be Always on (Not 10 minutes)

  • Click Save Changes, see below image for next suggested setting.


  • Suggested setting 2: Click Device

  • Select Preferences

  • Change 'Smart Charging Enable' to OFF

  • Select Save Changes
